Walk into a complete lifestyle business with absolutely everything needed to run it (including a vehicle, and all of the chattels and appliances - excluding art works).

Built in 1902, Oak Lodge has been extensively renovated to provide almost 1000m2 of spacious, hosted accommodation - or a huge family home. With just over 7 hectares of land - including a large, well-established garden - you can enjoy a rural lifestyle accompanied by a growing hosted accommodation business.

Oak Lodge has five guest bedrooms - four with ensuite bathrooms; one with a private bathroom just across the hall - together with a range of guest facilities, including a sauna and fitness room, spa/jacuzzi, swimming pool, massage room, guest lounge, billiard room, and tennis court. As well, there is a spacious master suite (which has disabled access facilities); a bedroom for your personal guests, and a study/bedroom. The Lodge has been renovated with lots of options in mind - restaurant, hotel, or residential home for instance. It has a fully integrated hardwired fire alarm system.

Situated next to the Lodge, there is a self-contained one-bedroom cottage that is fully furnished. It can be used for extra accommodation, for family, or for staff.

Behind the Lodge is a large barn with a mezzanine floor. It would make a very good venue for weddings, music or drama, yoga studio etc.

The farmlet comprises small stockyards, several fields and a tract of native bush. It also has the potential to be subdivided, or planted in horticulture. It is currently running 25 coloured sheep, two calves and (on loan) 2 donkeys. There is a hen house and run attached to the barn.

The West Coast of the Southern Alps is already one of the regions of New Zealand most visited by international travellers, and total visitor numbers are projected to rise by around 30% over the next five years. Predictions are that total visitor nights will rise by an average of 3.7% annually over the next five years, and that most of that rise will come from the international market (5.8% annual growth). By 2010, it is predicted that there will be some 708,000 international tourists on the Coast - 232,000 (48%) more than in 2003. In addition, it is predicted that there will be a further 427,000 domestic tourists, making a total of 1.135 million tourists.
The West Coast of the South island of New Zealand is incredibly beautiful and unspoiled.
